X Electrical is a specialised retailer dealing with audio & visual electronic goods; some new but predominantly pre-owned.

We buy and sell:
Musical Equipment - Guitars, amplification, keyboards, samplers, studio rack, etc
Hi-Fi - Systems, portables, audiophile to budget separates
Photographic - SLR's, Medium format, compacts, digital
Computers - Mac or PC, Laptops, desktops, palmtops, peripherals
DJ - Decks, mixers, amps, etc
Audio Video - Camcorders, home cinema, TV's, video editing
Games Consoles - All the latest formats plus some retro
Audio CD's - latest releases, imports and classics
X Electrical began trading March 1993, working from the original site in Hammersmith. After a period of consolidation, a second branch was opened in Kingston in August 1996. Croydon, the latest shop, opened in January 2001

How
do I know your goods are reliable?
All pre-owned items bought from X Electrical are thoroughly tested before being put on sale, so you can be sure they are in good working order when you buy them. All our members of staff have some background knowledge in one or more of the areas we cover, be they musicians, photographers, hi-fi buffs, games fanatics, etc, so they know what to look for when testing items. We do not knowingly buy faulty goods or goods that need servicing.
Put simply, if we're not 100% happy with an item ourselves, we wont buy it in. For your own peace of mind, all our pre-owned goods* usually come with a one month warranty, but on some more expensive items we are happy to offer longer warranties.

is covered by your warranty?
If the item you've purchased from us subsequently develops a genuine electrical or mechanical fault, you will be entitled to a full refund providing:

if I want a refund but the item isn't faulty?
Full refunds will only be given if there is a genuine fault with the product. If you later decide that you no longer want the product, we will offer an exchange for goods of equal value. If there is nothing in stock that you want in exchange, we will offer you a voucher for the amount which you can spend at a later date. If this is not desirable, we will offer to buy back the item at a percentage of the sale price.
Isn't
second hand gear 'a bit dodgy?'
Unfortunately, there is always the possibility that people will try to sell us stolen items. Before anyone can sell an item to us, they must be able to produce either the original receipt, or current identification showing their address. We work closely with the local police to ensure all our transactions are as above board as possible. We will not hesitate to inform the police if we suspect the origins of any item being offered to us and over the years have helped in recovering a number of stolen goods.

ID do I need to sell items to you?
If you wish to sell an item to X Electrical, you must be able to either produce the original purchase receipt for the goods, or at least TWO of the following forms of identification:
